Update: Monday 30th May 2016

Good evening,

Lovely long weekend we’ve had, I hope everyone has been able to get some sewing, crocheting or other crafting done?

Sunday 22nd, I was at a craft fair in Cleethorpes and sold a grand total of one item – a place mat and coaster set. I did not make my table cost back, surprisingly, on that sale. It was a bit of a dull day to be honest. I did get some nice ribbon, a set of silver earrings and some lovely soap though, so it wasn’t an entirely wasted day. I also got quite a bit of reading done. I don’t know when I’ll do another craft fair, they don’t seem to be worth it.

Last Wednesday at Sewing Club I got a few more patterns, out of a book one of the other club members has. I’ll get the name and author next week and update this post so you can look for it if you want. While I was at Sewing Club I made a couple of little sailing boats, complete with little wooden masts. I brought the patterns for ‘woodland creatures’ – a squirrel, mouse and rabbit – home with me and I’ve been making them this weekend. The basic pattern for all three is exactly the same, with different ears and a tail for the squirrel. I’m going to make a pompom as a tail for the rabbit and I’ll use a bit of wool for the mouse tail. One, the squirrel,  is complete and the other two need stuffing and putting together. That’s something to keep my hands busy in an evening. I don’t watch much television and when I do I like to keep my hands busy or I eat.

Have a good week, and happy crafting.
